In Indian traditional therapy called Ayurveda, Tulsi is considered as a tonic to retain youth and late aging.Tulsi carry many nutrients like vitamin C, vitamin A, Phytonutrinets and essential oils, are excellent anti oxidants and protects the body from the dangerous free radicals.

                Tulsi reduced blood glucose levels, thats why it is very helpful in diabetics. The anti oxidants in tulsi protect the heart from earlier damage.
                 Tulsi reduced total cholesterol levels, Tulsi also decrease the blood pressure.
                Tulsi helped in building up stamina, it is also used to prepare herbal tea.

               Tulsi is used as mouth wash for reducing tooth pain. It can also be mixed with mustered oil to make a good and chief paste. Tulsi is very good in retaining the dental health , it is one of the popular remedy for bad breath.Tulsi sometimes used as a mouth freshner as they last the freshness long time in the mouth. It is also researched  that it also inhibit the growth of oral cancer caused by chewing tobbaco etc.
               Tulsi is an excellent anti biotic, germicidal and very effectively protects our body from all sort of bacteril, fungal and viral infection. Tulsi also protects various types of fever. Actually fever is not an ailment, it is just a symtom which shows that our body is fighting against infections.It is an old tradition in India to give priority the tulsi leaves and flowers in cases of fever.
               Tulsi leaves are regarded as an adaptogen. Recent studies have shown that the leaves afford significant protection aganist strees. It is recommended that every healthy person shoul chew 12 tulsi leaves twice a day.It also has immuno-modulatory properties.
